Our Curriculum
At Sunshine Smiles Academy, we believe children learn best through meaningful play, hands-on experiences, and caring relationships. That’s why we use the Early Learning Matters (ELM) Curriculum, a research-informed curriculum designed for children from birth through five years of age.
The ELM Curriculum provides engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage children to learn, explore, create, and grow every day. With thoughtfully planned lessons throughout the year, our teachers help children build important skills in language and literacy, math, science, social-emotional development, physical development, creative arts, and more.
Because every child develops at their own pace, the ELM Curriculum allows our teachers to tailor learning experiences to meet each child’s individual needs and interests while celebrating their unique milestones along the way.
Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. Through play-based learning, exploration, and positive relationships, we help build the foundation children need for success in school and beyond.
